Dedicated to promoting awareness, inclusivity and understanding of Islam in the Gambian society, The GSIC works closely with the General Secretariat for Arabic & Islamic Education (Amaanah) and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE) to ensure that the Islamic education provided in schools and other institutions is authentic and inclusive.

Our goal is to provide a platform for the dissemination of authentic Islamic teachings and knowledge to a wider audience. By doing so, we aim to counter the spread of radical ideologies and promote a more moderate and inclusive understanding of Islam.

We also strive to provide an accurate and balanced representation of Islam in the media and education system. This helps to counter misunderstandings and prejudices about the religion and promotes a better understanding of the complexity and diversity of Islam.

In addition, we work to contribute to the growth and development of the Muslim community in The Gambia and beyond. By providing resources and support, we aim to educate and empower individuals and the community to better understand and appreciate Islam.

We believe that mutual understanding and respect among people of different faiths and backgrounds is essential to the well-being of our communities. Our efforts are geared towards fostering dialogue and building stronger, more cohesive communities.
