GSIC Delegation Holds Productive Talks with Directorate of Religious Affairs in Turkey

Strengthening bilateral ties and fostering interfaith dialogue, a delegation from the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC) led by its President, Sheikh Imam Muhammad Lamin Touray, and accompanied by the Presidential Adviser on Religious Matters, Hon. Dembo Bojang, embarked on a significant visit to the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı) in Turkey.

The visit, aimed at enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two nations, featured fruitful discussions on matters of shared interest, including religious education, cultural exchange, and ways to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

President of the GSIC, Sheikh Imam Muhammad Lamin Touray, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the Turkish hosts and highlighted the importance of collaboration between religious institutions to strengthen the global Islamic community.
